Instructions
  1. Toss stew meat, vegetables, and dry seasonings together to coat.
  2. Add tomato paste, beef broth, and water. Stir together to incorporate tomato paste.
  3. Add bay leaf and star anise.
  4. Set Instant Pot to pressure cook for 20 minutes on Manuel or Beef/Stew setting following manufacturer’s instruction.
  5. Allow pot to depressurize before opening.
