Lately, I’ve been looking at my battles all wrong. I have been thinking that I was going up against the devil. This morning the Lord spoke to my heart and said, “No! He has been coming up against YOU!”

Wow!! I have always had the upper hand — how could I have forgotten that? With JESUS, I will never be the underdog! He has made me MORE than a conqueror!

“Yet in all these things
we are more than conquerors
through Him who loved us.”
Romans 8:37 (NKJV)

The enemy of my soul, my peace, my hope, my joy, is not a threat to me. BUT!! My peace, my hope, and MY JOY, are a threat to him. That is why he has flooded me with sorrow so bitter that I have literally spent hours (HOURS) curled up on the floor weeping so hard that I began to cough uncontrollably and almost threw up several times (sorry to be graphic, but it’s the truth).

Days of relentless mental torment have been followed by nights of nightmarish darkness. Eyes open staring at the shadow of the ceiling fan going around and around, just like my thoughts.

BUT GOD!!

“…weeping may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the morning.”
Psalm 30:5b (KJV)

God has bent down to hear my cries, He has stretched out His arms to embrace me, and He has wiped the tears from my face with His loving hands. Now, I believe and declare that He has moved armies into place to fight the evil that has sought to destroy me.

Because of Him, I am a force to be reckoned with by virtue of my tears. Tears so precious to my King that they are now in a bottle sitting ever before His throne as an emblem of His love for me and of my trust in Him. I will not lose hope. I WILL NOT LOSE HOPE, PEOPLE!

“You number my wanderings;
Put my tears into Your bottle;
Are they not in Your book?
When I cry out to You,
Then my enemies will turn back;
This I know, because God is for me.”
Psalm 56:8-9 (NKJV)

He has heard my cry and HE IS FOR ME! Now, even before I see the battle’s end, I rejoice in the victory that is assured!!! — Annnnd… now I’m crying again. However, these tears are not bitter.
