Yes! He is with each of His children individually.
But, when we experience His presence in a group setting we have witnesses to confirm that what we say about Him and what He has done is true. We also gain strength from knowing we are not alone in our beliefs and decisions to follow Him. When we know there are others who have heard the same Good News and made the same choice to obey His Word, we are compelled forward in our walk with Him. Our faith is confirmed and intensifies.
“How shall we escape,
if we neglect so great salvation;
which at the first began to be
spoken by the Lord,
and was confirmed unto us
by them that heard him;
God also bearing them witness,
both with signs and wonders,
and with divers miracles,
and gifts of the Holy Ghost,
according to his own will?”
Hebrews 2:3-4
There is a reason that, at this time in history, some things are being banned and some things aren’t. Satan HATES the presence of the Lord; so, he hates the gathering of God’s people together.
“For where two or three
are gathered together
in my name,
there am I
in the midst of them.”
Matthew 18:20
The effectiveness of corporate worship cannot be overstated. It is something so powerful that God Himself desires to take part.
When He reveals Himself to us collectively, no one can deny the reality of Who He really is. NO ONE, PEOPLE!
We are commanded in the Bible to never stop gathering together. This is so that we may experience the power of His presence in corporate worship and receive instruction that we would not otherwise obtain. Whether it be in our regular church services, at Christian concerts, or conferences, we MUST be physically present to experience that corporate anointing. You know what I’m talking about—that “feeling” that’s not just a feeling but a stirring so deep inside of your being that you KNOW it’s Him!! And you are forever changed…
“not forsaking our meeting together
[as believers for worship and instruction],
as is the habit of some,
but encouraging one another;
and all the more [faithfully]
as you see the day
[of Christ’s return] approaching.”
Hebrews 10:25 (AMP)
Our faithfulness, as Christians, is being challenged like never before. Do we even miss the experience of His presence among us as we worship Him side by side? I do… I do!
